One of the assignments I enjoyed most in 2016 was a simple family portrait session of Evelyn Valdes' daughter's Catia's 15th birthday celebrations in Madrid's Retiro park. The Valdes' are Cuban-American and it's a strong Cuban tradition for girls to have a big party when they reach 15 years old. I used a Profoto octa flash as the midday summer light was very hard.
